Green Suppliers

Working in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established the Green Suppliers Network to help small and medium-sized manufacturers stay competitive and profitable while reducing their impact on the environment.

How it Works:

For a fee (about $6500), you get a Green Suppliers Network review where your product or process line is evaluated for improvements. Value stream mapping techniques are used to identify sources of non-value added time or materials, to identify opportunities to increase efficiency, and to develop a plan for implementing improvements. Often these improvements results in a cost savings that is far greater than the cost of the review.
